Re: Referral for a Dermatology review in practice
You have recently been referred for a review of a skin complaint by a practitioner based within a Barclay Medical Practice site. Your referral will be assessed for clinical safety and you will be allocated an appropriate appointment based on this.
These appointments are allocated by a central team and you will receive contact from them in relation to an appointment dependent on clinical availability.
These appointments are only carried out by Dr MacKenzie at Barclay Medical Practice Livingston, Carmondean Health Centre, EH54 8PY. If you are unable to travel to this site please contact your own practice to discuss an alternative referral. Please contact your own practice if your skin lesion changes while awaiting your review.
If you are unable to attend the appointment please let the practice know with as much notice as possible so that the appointment can be allocated to another patient. Short notice cancellations will be treated on a case by case basis and you may be placed at the bottom waiting list if we do not have adequate notice to fill the appointment, resulting in a wasted consultation. If an appointment has been arranged for you and you do not attend without prior notice you will be removed from the waiting list.
